//About Christina
I have hesitated to post anything here because I can't imagine anyone of you incredibly talented people wanting to know anything about li'l ol' me. However, as the contest has progressed and I find myself jumping from profile to profile after watching films and reading comments, I realize how disappointed I am to arrive at a profile that is blank! I'm curious about people... Maybe you are like me. That's why I eventually decided to leave the realm of the mysterious and enter the realm of being known.
I grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona, and pretty much stayed there until I followed a guy (can you believe it?!) to Tennessee. When things didn't work out with him, it was too late. Nashville had become my home. I stayed and eventually met my wonderful husband, Todd. We just celebrated our 8th anniversary.
Todd and I have 3 gorgeous boys. Jaren is 6 (Little Josh of Alius Primoris). Luke is 4. Blake is 2. Yeah, we were busy. These guys are my life, and I wouldn't have it any other way...
However, I have to admit, this acting thing is pretty fun. I have to be careful not to neglect my family as I pursue this thing I've wanted to do for so long but never did simply because I lacked the courage.
I never acted in school. I was WAY too shy and insecure to audition for anything. I sang a bit, but only when prodded and MADE to do so, and when I did, I shook like a leaf the entire time and my mouth stopped making saliva. That was interesting. Try singing with your lips stuck to your teeth...
This love/hate relationship with the arts continued until I realized I had been given a gift, and when I was faithful to use it, people were affected. That helped me because in that context, singing, acting...whatever is not about ME necessarily as much as it is about simply using the gift for it's intended purpose - to reach people.
From then on, life has been one adventure after another. Just try to get me off the stage. Don't get me wrong, I'm still a bundle of nerves, but there's a difference now. I'm nervous because I realize there's more I need to learn in order to develop my gift, and I want to be entirely ready for every opportunity - not because I don't think I'm good enough.
I've been involved in numerous theatrical productions and was introduced to life in front of the camera (please don't laugh) when I was asked to do the video announcements for our church. Hey, a beginning is a beginning! I loved it and felt at ease in front of the camera, so when I was asked to join the Alius Primoris (my first film) team, I jumped at the chance! What a learning experience! The church video announcements also served to open doors for radio commercials, which I thoroughly enjoy recording, as well.
Who knows where I'll go from here. I'm not concerned about that right now. I'm completely fulfilled as things stand right now. However, if I know God at all, things won't stay the same very long... I'll just keep learning and walking through open doors.
