![]() //About Tom I love a good challenge and I love being able to adapt to different scripts. I'm not a genre specific director who only does horror, comedy, romance etc. The greatest part of filmmaking to me has been getting a new script and getting completely involved in that new world. I like to be able to come out of it with a film that is true to the topic and still has a beginning, middle and end that communicates well.![]() //Job History Tom Wozny is currently in post-production on his twentieth short film, as a Director. No matter what the content is, the subject matter, the locations etc. It's the ability to pull a story out of it that makes sense, is compelling and interesting to watch. Simple or complex it always comes down to the ability to use the artform of film to convey that story.![]() //Tom's Camera of Choice the Red One![]() //Tom's Editing Software of Choice Final Cut![]() //Tom Became a Filmmaker Because I couldn't stand the idea of a 9 to 5 job...kidding, kind of :) I love art. All of it. Filmmaking has every aspect of what I love in life, music, acting, cinematography, writing...all of it! Someone told me once that they never watch movies or listen to music, ever. I sat for a moment and thought about that and realized that would be about the worst possible existence I could imagine. A little dramatic, I know...but seriously think about going through your entire day, week, life without art! So, I guess to answer that question of What drew me to filmmaking? I couldn't live without it. |
