//About Tom
I love a good challenge and I love being able to adapt to different scripts. I'm not a genre specific director who only does horror, comedy, romance etc. The greatest part of filmmaking to me has been getting a new script and getting completely involved in that new world. I like to be able to come out of it with a film that is true to the topic and still has a beginning, middle and end that communicates well.
//Job History
Tom Wozny is currently in post-production on his twentieth short film, as a Director. This film, as well as twelve earlier films, was made with the ultrahigh-res digital RED camera. Many of his films were produced by or written by or even filmed by this multi-talented artist. Additionally, Tom has directed three music videos, several television pilots and over two hundred corporate videos and commercials.

Tom began a production company in 2003 directing corporate videos and moved from there into commercials. He found his love of cinema when he first made a music video and short film. He has delivered hundreds of products as a director, producer, filmmaker, editor and cameraman.

As he expanded towards his passion of Directing he concentrated on films and quickly became known for his innovative filmmaking, with its distinct style and edge. In September of 2008 Tom decided to move swiftly toward his passion, narrative filmmaking, and in the last year alone directed and edited eight films.

Now an award-winning filmmaker and owner of Red Horizon Films, Tom Wozny’s decisive and creative vision has successfully launched him into promising career as a Director.

//Tom's Favorite Things About Filmmaking
Telling a story. No matter what the content is, the subject matter, the locations etc. It's the ability to pull a story out of it that makes sense, is compelling and interesting to watch. Simple or complex it always comes down to the ability to use the artform of film to convey that story.

//Tom Became a Filmmaker Because
I couldn't stand the idea of a 9 to 5 job...kidding, kind of :)

I love art. All of it. Filmmaking has every aspect of what I love in life, music, acting, cinematography, writing...all of it! Someone told me once that they never watch movies or listen to music, ever. I sat for a moment and thought about that and realized that would be about the worst possible existence I could imagine. A little dramatic, I know...but seriously think about going through your entire day, week, life without art!

So, I guess to answer that question of What drew me to filmmaking? I couldn't live without it.
